On 13 November 2024 Professor Marius Turda gave a public lecture to the University of Medicine and Pharmacology ‘Grigore T. Popa’ in Ia?i (Romania). The topic of his talk was “Eugenics and the Dehumanization of People with Disabilities”.
‘We are not Alone’ on display at the University of Helsinki
Between 1 November and 13 December 2024, the exhibition ‘We are not Alone’: Legacies of Eugenics is on display at the University of Helsinki, hosted by the Centre for Research in Ethnic Relations and Nationalism and Swedish School of Social Sciences. On 5 November Prof Marius Turda gave a public talk explaining the aims of the exhibitions and the role it plays in today’s debates about the resurgence of eugenics.

On 1 November 2024, Professor Marius Turda gave a talk on “Eugenic Iconographies and the Public Imagination” at the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford. The talk was organised by the University of Oxford’s Festival of Social Sciences and Oxford Brookes University.
First “Eugenics in Society Conference”
Between 23 and 25 October 2024, Professor Marius Turda and a number of students from Oxford Brookes University took part in and co-hosted the First “Eugenics in Society Conference” in partnership with the Acumen Group (USA) and the University of Westminster (UK).

We Are Not Alone: Eugenics Exhibition at ETH Zurich
The exhibition ‘We are not alone’: Legacies of Eugenics is on display at ETH Zurich, Honggerberg Campus between 5 October and 1 November 2024. It accompanies the video installation “Eugenik und ANAG Gebildete Handlanger der Macht” by Melinda Nadj Abonji, and the textile work “Ohne Pro kein Contra – Spaltung und Hierarchie im Schweizer Familienhaus” by Paola De Martin with Melinda Nadj Abonji and Lucia Bernini.
